MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Two complaints have now been filed after judge Chad Williams was struck by Paul Blackburn, an angry exhibitor, at the Murfreesboro Kiwanis Club/WHOA Charity Walking Horse Show held Nov. 29.

Williams was exiting the show ring and moving toward the show office when Blackburn struck him. Words and blows were exchanged before the two men could be separated by on-lookers. Williams suffered only a minor cut to the forehead.

The National Horse Show Commission is investigating the allegations and hopes to bring the matter to a close quickly, according to Lonnie Messick, NHSC executive vice-president and DQP coordinator.

Judy Martin, director of judges, said that while they hope to have a conclusion next week, the proper steps will be taken as quickly as possible and the appropriate punishment will be levied.

Commission officials are currently in the process of gathering statements from everyone involved.
