SHELBYVILLE, Tenn. - A long time friend and supporter of the Tennessee Walking Horse industry, U. S. Representative Bart Gordon, recently hosted a delegation representing S.H.O.W., its Task Force, and Bedford County at his office in Washington, DC. The purpose of the trip was to meet with USDA officials and Congressman Gordon was instrumental in arranging that meeting.
"We, the walking horse industry, are fortunate to have Congressman Gordon willing to support us and dedicate the time required to host our recent trip to Washington," stated Celebration and S.H.O.W. CEO Dr. Doyle Meadows. "This meeting opened a dialog with USDA officials that continues today and we feel confident will be a critical component of the future success of our industry," Meadows said.
