David Eldredge, 68, passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2002 at Middle Tennessee Medical Center in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. A native of Murfreesboro, he was the son of the late Jeff and Lucy Kimsey Eldredge. He is survived by wife, Deanna Eldredge, one son Jeff Eldredge, and one daughter Dana Smith and three grandchildren. Mr. Eldredge was a long time lover and breeder of the Tennessee Walking Horse. Over the years, he had horses in training with Dude Crowder, Donnie Grider, Dick Myers, Jeff and Ken Willis, Roger and Bobby Richards, and Russ Keyser.

He was a member of Bel Aire Baptist Church, a graduate of Murfreesboro Central High School and received his Engineering Degree from the University of Tennessee in 1956. He entered the US Air Force and served as a commissioned officer for four years. He was an engineer for the TVA and the U.S. Army Cops of Engineering before his retirement in 1993. Funeral service was held on Friday, September 20 at Woodfin Memorial Chapel in Murfreesboro.
