Equine Death – I’m Causin’ Commotion

Debbie Myers, the late I'm Causin' Commotion and John Allan Callaway

Six Time World Champion mare, I’m Causin’ Commotion passed away Thursday evening April 5, following a stay at Rood and Riddle Animal Hospital in Lexington, KY. Commotion had coliced and was taken there for surgery. She improved following the surgery and then took a turn for the worst.
This roan seven-year-old mare will be remembered by her many fans, by her owners Jim and Debbie Myers and the whole Callaway family. John Allan Callaway started this home-grown mare and he and Debbie showed her to many wins.
Debbie Myers commented, "She has left a huge hole in my heart. She was truly John Callaway’s mare since he started her and she was ridden only by John and I." This great mare is returning to the farm of her birth owned by the Myers and will be buried there but will not be forgotten for her lively spirit and her heart that made her so special.
