Equine Death- Pride’s Main Man
It is with great sadness the George Wright family reports the loss of their beloved stallion Pride’s Main Man on June 26th. Bred, raised and kept his entire life by the Wright’s , Main Man was special beyond words . He had a world class show ring career beginning with Paul Nelms winning the Yearling Futurity and then continuing under the direction of Bill Bobo and Philip Wilson . The roar of the west grandstand on stake night in 1988 is a memory that still brings us smiles. Pride’s Main Man was a big time horse owned by small town folks. He was a constant source of pride and enjoyment… the horse of a lifetime. His legacy to the breed is still unfolding. Because of him, tucked in the hills of Mt. Juliet, Tenn., is the Ultimate broodmare band of 12-their foals generating three World Championships and the Two-Year-Old WGC at the 2005 celebration. Although he will be deeply missed, Main Man’s story is still being written.
