Classic Generator was humanely euthanized in the early morning of July 9, 2022; after suffering a massive heart attack that night. Classic was owned and loved by Nancy and Bob Campbell of Newport, PA. Classic was one of Nancy and Bob's favorite horses and made many memorable drives in fine harness.

Classic was foaled in 1988, sired by Pride's Generator and out of an Ebony Masterpiece mare. He was purchased by the Campbells in September 1993 following the Celebration out of Billy Gray's Stables and moved to their trainer, Ronnie Spears. It was Ronnie and Nancy who realized Classic had the looks, size and talent to be a fine harness horse. Nancy's first show was a win at Asheville and the team remained undefeated going into the 1994 Celebration where Classic won three world championships with Nancy and Bob showing in the amateur ranks and Ronnie in the open division. He went on to finish his career as the first ten-time world champion fine harness horse. He had countless wins at the International, Dixie Jubilee and the Southern Championship to name a few. Classic also went on to win a number of Horse of the Year awards in addition to the 1997 Year In Walking Horses.

Following his show ring career, Classic stood at stud at Harlinsdale Farm in Franklin, TN. He went on to sire a number of show ring stars. When Harlinsdale Farm was sold, the Campbells decided to take classic to their farm in Pennsylvania, at the age of 20. He spent 14 years romping and playing in his pasture and enjoyed many treats of carrots and apple slices. Classic was laid to rest at his favorite spot in his pasture on the morning of July 9. He was a loving and faithful horse enjoyed by many and always gave his best.

Classic had a storied life spanning 34 years. He will be greatly missed by Nancy and Bob; goodbbye handsome man, we will see you again some day!
