Equine Obituary: Delight Of Magic

The great show mare, Delight Of Magic, owned by the Floyd Sherman family of Dallas, Texas, passed away on May 20, 2013. It was her 27th birthday. By Delight Of Pride and out of E.T.’s Magic, Delight Of Magic was foaled on May 20, 1986.
Delight of Magic won world championships in 1988 and 1989 as a two and three-year-old under the direction of Jackie McConnell Stables. She carried Kelly Sherman to her first world championship, the Two-Year-Old Amateur Mares, Division B, at the 1988 Celebration.
The much-loved mare went on to enjoy many successful years in the show ring and then retired to the broodmare band where she gave the Shermans 10 foals including Written In The Stars who is the dam of Ritz’s Big Dipper and Star In The Making.
Delight Of Magic will be greatly missed by Beverly, Kelly and Floyd Sherman and all who knew her in her long successful life.
