Equine Obituary- I’m Sky High Jose’
Friday, July 10, 2015
On July 3, 2015, I’m Sky High Jose’ passed away due to complications with colic at the young age of seven.
I’m Sky High Jose’ was proudly bred, raised and owned by Donna and Darryle Thompson of Collins, Miss. Foaled on October 4, 2007, out of Josefina and sired by Skyliner.
Anyone who had the opportunity to come in contact with the gorgeous black mare knew she was something special. She entered the ring over 43 times in her brief career, and captured 18 first place ties.
I’m Sky High Jose’ carried several riders around the ring including trainer Jonathan Watts, Scott Tew, Mikayla Dent and Alex Rea. Her most notable win this season was at the Spring Fun Show where she and Alex Rea captured the blue following a work out in a field of nearly 20 horses in the Amateur Mares & Geldings class.
I’m Sky High Jose’ passed away too early in life and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
