LOUISVILLE, Miss. - The East Mississippi Fall Classic kicked off on Friday, Oct. 9, 2009. Brian Kiddy from Lawrenceburg, Tenn., judged the two-day event. Trainers Edgar Abernathy, Ray Gilmer, Philip Trimble and Dale Watts all came to South Mississippi for the show.
Abernathy Stables topped the blue ribbon tally, taking home eight blue ribbons. Pioneer Stables took home their second consecutive Walking Stake win with José Grandé for proud owner Deborah Williams. Dale Watts and José Grandé have a previous victory from the Nettleton Lions Club show.
