First Texas National Showdown

BRYAN, Texas – The First Texas National Showdown was held on March 13-14, 2009, at the Brazos County Exposition Complex in Bryan, Texas. The Original Lone Star Gaited Horse Association put on the show. Tennessee Walking Horses, racking horses and spotted saddle horses were featured in the two days and 83 classes. Steve Beam of Arab, Ala., was the judge for 44 walking horse classes.

The cold and rain didn’t discourage the exhibitors from showing their horses in this covered arena and enjoying the exhibitors’ party on Friday night that had a live band and wonderful food.
