SPRINGFIELD, Ill. - On Sunday, May 21 after the Illinois Spring Fun Show, the I.W.H.A. Board of Directors and Officers made a commitment to the youth of Illinois and surrounding states. They will, not only have a TWHBEA sponsored Youth Medallion Class during the Illinois Fall Classic show, they will meet the demands of upcoming young riders by sponsoring an I.W.H.A Youth Medallion Class for flat shod youth riders. All the rules and paybacks of the TWHBEA Youth Medallion class will apply for the I.W.H.A. Youth Medallion Class except it will be for flat shod exhibitors only. Some members of the board are so committed to the enhancement of the youth programs in Illinois that they have offered to partially fund the class.

The Illinois Fall Classic will be held October 3, 4, & 5 at the Illinois State Fairgrounds in Springfield, IL with over $15,000.00 in prize money to be awarded. On the final night of the show, not only will there be a Performance Grand Championship, there will be a Flat Shod Grand Championship and higher prize money in all championships.

A new outside covered arena has been constructed next to the coliseum to accommodate the TWHBEA Regional Lincolnland Versatility Show on October 4 and the Bi-State Regional Futurity on October 5.

We are looking forward to the best fall show ever with the Honorable Lee Grubbs of Indianapolis, Indiana as the judge of the Illinois Fall Classic and Honorable Sid Baker judging the TWHBEA Regional Lincolnland Versatility Show and the Bi-State Regional Futurity.

And of course, Chef Jim Leslie will be whipping up some more of that good soup and sandwiches for all exhibitors and trainers to enjoy daily.
