COLUMBIANA, Ala. - On May 17, 2008, the Shelby County Heart Of Dixie held a great horse show. Sponsored by Fourmile Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department, the horse show was able to help purchase a new truck for the Fire Department last year. Terry Stone was the walking and racking horse judge. At the close of the evening Impressive Motion and Larry Latham were called to the winner’s circle for owners Cooper and Bohannon.

Two riders had an exceptional night. Casee Crocker carried home three blue ribbons with Disarmed in the Park Pleasure, Splashed in the County Pleasure and Excalibur’s Jazz in the Amateur (Canter). Kelly Peevy also had a good night with back-to-back wins with her three-year-old Outta Line and two-year-old Academy Award for father Jerry Carter.

Multiple blues were won by Latham Stables, Swinging Gate Farms, Mike McCormick Stables and Tim Smith Stables.
