A Jazz Man, sire of current World Grand Champion Master of Jazz, passed away February 5, 2008. The official cause of death was colic.  A Jazz Man was operated on by Dr. Jim Baum and made it through surgery yesterday morning.  However with such a severe case of colic Baum knew A Jazz Man's chances of survival were not good.  He passed away at approximately 8:00PM CST.

Owned by Joe and Cena Martin and Gus King the seventeen year-old breeding stallion stood at Martin Stables in Shelbyville, Tenn., and produced many world champions and world grand champions.

 

A Jazz Man has been a top breeding stallion for many years. In addition to Master of Jazz, he also sired the 15.2 & Under World Grand Champion Dragonfly and Owner/Amateur Novice World Grand Champion, Jazz's Master at the 2007 Celebration.
