Jason Day and Missed The Boat Named Ohio Valley Walking Stake Champions

SHELBYVILLE, Ky. – The Ohio Valley Walking Horse Association held its annual fall festival horse show Saturday, Oct. 17, 2009, in Shelbyville, Ky. The show was moved inside due to the cold weather, but was remained a success. The academy show was held earlier in the day and the performance section of the show was held in the evening. Keith Becknell of Winchester, Ky., judged both sessions.
Jason Day, a well-known horse trainer who is originally from Kentucky, has moved back home. Day made his debut back on the Kentucky circuit, claiming the Walking Stake title with Missed The Boat.
Martin Stables claimed six blues from the show, Sims Stables of Nicholasville, Ky., claimed three blues, Stamper Stables, Jason Day Stables and Oliver Stables claimed two each.
