Johnny Orlando and Mike Oney Win MSU Fall Classic Stake Four Years In A Row

MOREHEAD, Ky. – The Morehead State University held its annual fall classic horse show on Oct. 9 and 10, 2009, in Morehead, Ky. Holly Liddell of Shelbyville, Tenn., judged the two-day event.
Each year trainers from all over Kentucky, Virginia and other states come prepared to take home several blues. Sweet Revenge Stables, Keith Becknell, Terry Sims, Donald Stamper, Doug Stephens, Jessie Smith, Oliver Stables, Steve Swinford Stables, Triple D Stables and many amateur owned and trained exhibitors captured blue ribbon titles.
Dylan Young and World Champion Kentucky Push’s Pride made an outstanding exhibition on Saturday night. This was the world champion team’s second exhibition since they were announced the 2009 Juvenile 11 & Under World Champions. Lisa Evans and Showboat’s Heartstopper also exhibited for an appreciative crowd for the second time since their world champion performance at the National Celebration.
Mike Oney and Johnny Orlando rode to the winner’s circle in the Walking Stake class for Linda Patton of Mt Sterling, Ky. This team has claimed this title at the fall classic for four years in a row.
