The Walking Horse Report has just recently learned that Jose’ Cold Chills will not be returning to the ring. Following an injury at the 2020 Celebration in the Walking Stake class the decision was made today that the talented horse will no longer compete in the ring. Owner Bart McWaters made this statement for the McWaters Family.

“It is with a heavy heart that I must inform the fans of Jose' Cold Chills that due to the injury he suffered in the final class of TWHNC his show ring career has come to an end. I would like to thank everyone who messaged me concerning his health. He will recover but the ligament damaged he suffered cannot be medically fixed so his show ring career is over. Hopefully sooner than later we will be able to resume his breeding career. I would like to especially thank Formac Stables and their crew for all they have done before and after his injury. Also like to thank Dr. Richard Wilhelm and all the vets for their care of this awesome animal. It has been a great ride watching him compete over the years and we will certainly miss that.”

Jose’s Cold Chills was under the direction of Jimmy McConnell at Formac Stables. This show season, the duo collected wins at the Spring Fun Show and was a Reserve World Champion in the Stallions Sec. B class. This gorgeous stallion will be sadly missed in the ring but all of his fans will anxiously wait to see what type of future he will have in the breeding barn.
