MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - At the Murfreesboro Kiwanis Club/WHOA Charity Walking Horse Show held Nov. 29, judge Chad Williams was struck by Paul Blackburn, an angry exhibitor, as Williams exited the show ring and was moving toward the show office. Words and blows were exchanged before the two men could be separated by on-lookers. Williams suffered only a minor cut to the forehead.

Lonnie Messick, executive vice-president and DQP coordinator of the National Horse Show Commission, said he has received several phone calls about the altercation, and although no formal complaints have been filed at this time he felt complaints would be forthcoming. Messick said the matter was being investigated and something would be done. Judy Martin, director of judges, will also be involved.
