Kentucky Walking Horse Association Plans Annual Awards Banquet Weekend

The Kentucky Walking Horse Association will hold its Annual Awards Banquet Weekend on Friday, January 18 and Saturday, January 19, 2002 at the Marriott-Griffin Gate Resort in Lexington, Kentucky. During this weekend there will be the banquet, a dance, a casino night and a 50/50 reverse drawing as well as K.S.O.A, Board of Directors, Ladies Auxiliary, Juvenile Auxiliary and General Membership meetings.
At the November board meeting, KWHA approved the formation of a Kentucky Walking Horse Association Political Action Committee, to be known as KWHAPAC.
There will be a silent auction held during the weekend. Winning bids will be announced Saturday evening. Elections for 2002 officers will be held at the General Membership Meeting. Those serving on the 2002 nominating committee are Gary Oliver, Chairman; Ron Sharp, Ray Burton, Joe Herald and Kemp Martin.
