Jackie McConnell was sentenced to three years probation and a $75,000 fine under a plea agreement reached in federal court in Chattanooga, Tenn., today.  McConnell pled guilty to one count of conspiracy to violate the Horse Protection Act. 

McConnell was also sentenced to 300 hours community service with the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) under supervision of USDA.  All other charges in the 52-count indictment were dropped under the plea agreement.

Jeff Dockery and Joseph Abernathy were sentenced to one year probation.
