BURLINGTON, Ky. – The Ohio Valley Walking Horse Association held its annual barn party on Saturday, March 28, 2009, in Burlington, Ky. Chuck and Donna Bray of Look Out Hills Farm hosted the event for the association. The Brays invited everyone to get the word out about their academy program. Three different juveniles were there to show off the skills they have learned while at the Brays.
Each member brought a dish and the association provided food, meat, desserts and drinks. Martin Stables of Owenton, Ky., brought a few horses to exhibit for the crowd.
Mike Anasis and Tim Bennett were the corn hole champions, winning a small set of corn hole plaques. The association sold 50/50 tickets as well and the winner of the raffle was Cloia Collins of Mt. Vernon, Ky. The Kentucky Express Band entertained the party with their music. John Ammerman, an Ohio Valley Association member, played the bass guitar.
After a full day of gathering, the party ended with invites going out to the association’s upcoming horse shows, which are the Cynthiana Horse Show, May 30, 2009, and the Shelbyville, Ky., show, Oct. 17, 2009.
