On June 2nd,the Mississippi Charity Horse Show, held in Jackson, Miss., presented a check for $45,000 to the Blair E. Batson Childrens Hospital.

This donation was made possible by the generosity of the supporters of their 79th annual horse show. The hospital operates on a similar premise as St. Jude's Hospital-no child in need is turned away.

The week prior to the horse show, a "fun day" event was held for hospital patients as well as children from the Baptist Childrens Village, Methodist Children's Home, Sunnybrooke Childrens home and the Magnolia Speech School. The arena was decorated to resemble a carnival, complete with wooden game booths, clowns slides and bouncy houses, face-painting and photo-booths. The horse rides and the mule pulled wagons were some of the favorite attractions.
