The National Horse Show Commission would like to notify all trainers, exhibitors, and show managers that beginning January 1, 2002 all Four-Year-Old Open classes will canter. This is regardless of whether it is a class for only four-year-olds or four years and under. "Junior" classes that allow four-year-olds will be required to canter. Some examples of classes that must canter are listed below (Be aware that this list is not all inclusive): Walking Horse Four-Years-Old & Under, Lite Shod Four & Under, Plantation Pleasure Four & Under, Park Pleasure Four & Under, Four-Year-Old Walking Horse.
