North Carolina Donates $4000 to FAST Legal Fund

The North Carolina Walking Horse Association hosted their annual Sneak Preview on Saturday, March 11, at Biggerstaff Park in Dallas, North Carolina. A large group of participants and spectators came to see great Tennessee Walking Horses, enjoy a fabulous BBQ lunch, share yummy desserts, and bid on great items at the live and silent auctions. The NCWHA Board of Directors had unanimously agreed to donate the net proceeds of the auction to the FAST Legal Fund, in honor and memory of Chad Baucom. The date of the Sneak Preview, March 11th, would also have been Chad's 50th birthday.

The auctions had a wide variety of donated items, and were a great success! The initial accounting indicates that NCWHA will be donating approximately $4,000 to the FAST Legal Fund. All involved are committed to supporting our legal efforts and preserving the Tennessee Walking Show Horse.

Special thanks to Christy Lantis for her work on organizing the auction, Larry Mesimer for his donation of the delicious barbecue, and Daphne France for her donation of the wonderful side dishes. For members unable to attend, calendars will be mailed within the next 2 weeks.
