Berry Davis Coffey, 79, of Belfast, Tenn., died Monday, October 6, 2003, at the Bedford County Medical Center. Coffey was a native of Bedford County and the son of the late William Claud, Sr., and Myrtle Bills Coffey. He was a retired horse trainer and farmer and was a member of the Union Presbyterian Church.

Coffey was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Sue Williams Coffey, in 1994. He is survived by a son, Dave Coffey of Belfast, Tenn.; a daughter, Barbara Sue Civils of Frisco, Texas; two brothers, William Claud Coffey, Jr. and Loyd Coffey, both of Petersburg, Tenn.; a sister, Marie Wilmesherr of Lexington, S.C.; two grandsons, Chris Coffey of Murfreesboro, Tenn., and Jimmy Civils of Frisco, Texas; and one great grandson, Bryce Coffey of Murfreesboro, Tenn.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, October 8, 2003, at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of London Funeral Home. The burial will follow at the Round Hill Cemetery.

The family will be at London Funeral Home Tuesday, October 7 after 4:00 p.m. and Wednesday until the funeral hour for visitation.
