Charles Bailey Rogers died November 11, 2002 at his home of cancer. Bailey Rogers was well known in Walking Horse circles since the 1960’s. He owned, with his then partner, Jack Gardner, such horses as Delite’s Mystery Girl, Gunsmoke’s Tramp, C C’s Flirtation Walk, and many others. He was a member of the Walking Horse Association of Alabama, and a lifelong Walking Horse fan. He missed seeing only 3 WGCs crowned since 1952, and then only because he was very ill. His last trip before he became too ill to travel was to watch his daughter, Ginger Evans, show her horse Cloud’s Of Joy at the 2002 Celebration. His face will be missed at the horse shows in the future.
