Danny Ray Reagan, age 63 of Niota, Tenn. passed away Saturday, February 25, 2023, at his residence. He was a native of Jamestown, Tenn., resident of McMinn County since he was nine and preceded in death by his father: Solomon "Sol" Reagan II and Sister: Christine Burris.  He was a farmer and retired from J. M. Huber after 39 years of service. He was a member of Union-McMinn Baptist Church. He and his family raised and showed Tennessee Walking Horses and was a member of WHOA and Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders and Exhibitor Association. In 2008 he received the Pleasure Horse Ambassador of the Year Award from TWHBEA.

Survivors: Wife of 43 years: Wanda Lynn Brock Reagan of Niota, Tenn., Son and daughter-in-law: Travis and Heather Reagan of Athens, Tenn., Three Daughters and sons-in-law: Christy and John Crisp of Donalsonville, Ga., Melissa Reagan of Niota, Tenn., Alison and Bobby Mason of Niota, Four Grandchildren: Michael Crisp, Patricia Crisp, Stetson Mason, and Gunner Mason, Mother: Emily JoAnn Smith Reagan of Athens, Tenn., Sister: Cheryl Reagan of Athens, Tenn., Nephew: Adam Burris.

Funeral services 11:00 A.M. Thursday, March 2, 2023, in the Chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home Rev. Gabe Brannon. Interment will follow in Buttram's Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Gerald Wilson, Howie White, David Rountree, Michael Wilson, Sam White and Allen Riden. Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Moses,  Roscoe Morgan, Robert Riden, Jerry Crabtree, Virgil Goodwin, and Paul Morgan. The family will receive friends from 5-7 Wednesday, March 1, 2023, in the funeral home. Condolences may be sent here.
