Deedy Sue Decker 80 of Shelbyville died Saturday,  April 17, 2021.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held
2:00 P.M. Sunday, April 25th, at Grace Baptist Church Rev. Bobby McGee officiating. Visitation will begin at 1:00 P.M.

She was born July 25, 1940 in Mexico, Missouri. Deedy was a former Editor of the Spotted Saddle Horse Breeders & Exhibitors News; former employee of The Voice of the Tennessee Walking Horse and The Walking Horse Report. She served on the Board of Directors of The Tennessee Walking Horse National Museum and was a Charter Member of Grace Baptist Church.

Deedy was a former Amateur World Grand Championship Walking Horse Rider who was well known for her rhinestone riding coat. She was also well known for her artistic abilities.

She was the daughter of the late Melvin Amick and Mildred Louise Boyd Decker and Don Decker.  She is survived by half-sisters and brother, Vivian Amick, Dennie Rhoades, Kathleen Amick, Mick Amick, Melvin Amick Jr.; step-mother, Carol Amick; caregivers and companion dog Josie and numerous friends who loved her and were loved by her.

In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to the Tennessee Walking Horse National Museum, 27 Main St. E., Wartrace, Tn. 37183.
