Obituary – Della Grover Moore Wallick

Della Groover Moore Wallick, age 91, died March 9, 2006
at her residence at 2723 Midland Road in Shelbyville, Tenn. She is
the mother of Dr. Judy Moore. After high school Della traveled to
Michigan during the depression to seek a job where she worked at
Fisher Body (General Motors) of Flint. There she met her husband
Prientus Moore and had three children, Judy Moore D.O. (physician),
David Moore (attorney) and Thomas Moore, deceased at age seven. She
then traveled with her husband and three small children to the Upper
Peninsula of Michigan where they ran a resort until his death in
1959. She then entered college where she graduated as a licensed
practical nurse. She worked as a nurse in several hospitals until
retirement. In 1994 she moved to Shelbyville, Tenn., where she
attended all the Tennessee Walking Horse shows that Dr. Judy Moore
and Ed Foust showed in.
Feldhas Funeral Home did the cremation and she will be
buried in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan with her husband and son.
