Joe J. Jones, age 86, of Dawsonville, GA., formerly of Harrisonville, MO. passed away Nov. 29, 2001 of an extended illness. Joe loved to raise colts and then turn them over to Tom Burton of Springfield, MO for training. He owned the horse, known as, Kansas City Daddy back in the 60`s. He is survived by his wife Shelby, sister Lorena Hood of Hendersonville, N.C. two brothers; G.A. and Charles both of Harrisonville, MO. and a number of nieces and nephews. Services were held Dec. 1st at the Harmony Baptist Church in Dawsonville, GA. Bearden Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
