Obituary- J.R. Crews

J.R. Crews, 62, passed away Sunday, Feb. 26, 2006 at Bedford County Medical Center after a brief illness. Crew was best known as being a main fixture on the Shelbyville town square. In the most recent years, Crews has worked as a deliveryman for Pope’s Café on the square. Funeral arrangements were held at Doak-Howell Funeral Home this past weekend. A memorial fund has been set up for Crews at First Community Band of Bedford County.

Trump Executive Order gives agencies discretion to postpone effective dates
President Donald J. Trump signed multiple executive orders yesterday, one of which could apply to the Horse Protection rule set to go into effect February 1, 2025. In his executive order President Trump allows agencies, including USDA, to postpone rules already published in the Federal Register for further review prior to their effective date.
