Mr. Larry Pickhardt, age 75, of Shelbyville, Tenn., died Sunday, July 25, 2010, at Middle Tennessee Medical Center in Murfreesboro.

Per his request, his remains will be cremated. Memorial services will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 28, 2010, at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel. Pastor Kent Lewis will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday.

Pickhardt was born March 25, 1935, in Adams County, Wisconsin to the late Arthur John and Margarite Steinborn Pickhardt.  He was a retired systems manager with AT&T. He owned and rode Tennessee Walking Horses and earned several world championships, and was the owner of Lando'nod Farms in Menomone Falls, Wis. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church where he was a council member. 

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Pickhardt, of Shelbyville; two sons, Scott Pickhardt and his wife Karen, and Michael Pickhardt, all of Wisconsin; a daughter, Kerry Wicklund and her husband Mark, of Wisconsin; a brother, Bob Pickhardt and his wife Carol; two sisters, Carol Bolden and her husband Roy, and Kathy Manthey and her husband Harold, all of
Wisconsin; and eight grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Shelbyville Bedford County Humane Association. Feldhaus Memorial Chapel is assisting the family with the arrangements.
