Obituary - Clarence Paul Williams

Clarence Paul Williams, age 74 of Shelbyville, TN, passed away Monday April 17, 2017. Williams was the father of Walking Horse Trainer Chad Williams. A native of Rutherford County, he was the son of the late W. C. and Alice Smith Williams. Mr. Williams was also preceded in death by a brother, Grady T. Williams and a sister, Betty Lou Timbs.
Mr. Williams is survived by his wife of 54 years, Barbara Sharber Williams; sons, Troy D. Williams and his wife Traci of Bell Buckle, TN, and Chad D. Williams and his wife Jaclyn on Murfreesboro, TN; daughter, Susan Davenport and her husband Mike of Rockvale, TN; brother, C W Williams of Rockvale, TN; sister, Alice Calloway of Murfreesboro, TN; grandchildren, Breanna, Ashlyn, Blake, Austin, Bryce, Aidan, Brylie, London, and Hagen Williams, Natalie Bell and Chase Prater; one great-grandson, Lincoln Bell.
Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Tuesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Wednesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Troy Williams and Wess Adams officiating. Burial will follow in the Carlton Cemetery in Rockvale, TN with grandsons and nephews serving as pallbearers.
Mr. Williams was a member of Fair Haven Baptist Church in Shelbyville, TN, and was retired from Nissan.
