Obituary - Rae MacDonald

Mr. Rae MacDonald, well known Clio, South Carolina Walking Horse owner and exhibitor in the 1970’s and 1980’s died Nov. 7th 2006 at the age of 82.
Mr. MacDonald, a retired Dillon County Farmer, enjoyed showing for many years on his popular mounts including Victorious Invasion, Pride’s Diablo, and Quarterback’s Mr. Wise.
Mr. MacDonald was preceded in death by his first wife, Nannie M. MacDonald and is survived by his second wife Virginia P. MacDonald. He is survived by his children, Richard MacDonald of Hilton Head Island, SC and Mac MacDonald of Atlanta, Ga. Also Jackie Hendrix and Sandra Adams of Myrtle Beach, SC. He is also survived by step-children Doug Newton of Clio, South Carolina, Kathy Mowery of Kannapolis, NC and Pat McColl of Myrtle Beach, SC., and many grandchildren and step-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Nov. 10th at Carolina Presbyterian Church. Memorials may be sent to Hospice of Scotland County, P.O. Box 1033, Laurinburg, NC.
