Ralph Paul Livingston, 75, passed away January 19, 2002. He is survived by wife Beatrice Reed Livingston, one son, Paul Livingston, trainer of Church Hill, Tennessee. Livingston started training Walking Horses with the late C.A. Bobo in the fifties in Greenville, Tennessee. He also worked with the late Harold Kennedy, at the Circle T Ranch in Fort Worth, Texas. He then went on to own and manage his own barn, Ralph Livingston Stables in Laffette, Louisiana. After that he moved back to East Tennessee. Livingston trained noted horses such as Triple Threat, Hawaiin Sunset, Merry Boy’s Farewell, Major Julip, Prime Time, Royal Cruiser, and countless others. He retired after thirty years of service from the U.S. Government Holston Defense Corp in Kingsport, Tennessee.
