Celebration of Life service for Ted William Lewis, Sr., age 71 of Wartrace, will be held 6:00pm Tuesday May 17th, 2016 at First Baptist Church with Brother Jeff Rasnick officiating. Mr. Lewis passed from this life Sunday May 15th, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family.
Ted William Lewis, Sr., born December 16th, 1944 in Hazlehurst, GA to the late A.C. Lewis, Jr. and the late Sarepta Annie Stone Lewis.
Among many things, he was a retiree of CSX as a railroad machinist, farmer, counselor, writer, small business owner, missionary, board member of Women of Grace, founder of Celebration of Life Ministries, member of the Walking Horse Owners Association, life member of TWHBEA, founding board member of the Yonkofa Project, and member of the First Baptist Church.
He was the patriarch of his family, a loving husband and father, a good friend and greatest of all: he was PAPA.
Survivors include; wife of 27 years, Ann Morris Lewis; children, Ted W. Lewis, Jr. of GA, Jessica (Warren) Stinson Wells of Murfreesboro, Emily Stinson of Shelbyville; grandson, Walker Jackson Wells; brothers, Jack (Mary Ann) Lewis of VA, Austin Lewis of GA; sisters, Dorothy L. Watkins of NC, Kathy (Gerald) Rigdon of GA and Patty (Andrew) Pennington of VA.
