Obituary – Robert Vernon Pierce

Robert Vernon Pierce, age 82, of Shelbyville passed away unexpectedly December 31, 2021 at his home.
A native of Carrol County Tennessee, Vernon was born April 21, 1939 to the late Richard Nathaniel Pierce and Quillo May Bateman Pierce.
Vernon moved to Shelbyville, Tennessee in 1993 from Florida to be near his daughter, Carrie Lynn Pierce Benedict, due to the Tennessee Walking Horse.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Judy Keeton Pierce, daughter Carrie Lynn Pierce Benedict (Spencer Stone Benedict) of Glasgow, Kentucky and grandson Austin Stone Benedict (Heatherly) of Murfreesboro, Tennessee and his brother-in-law, Edgar Roy (Bubba) Keeton, and several nieces and nephews.
Vernon loved watching Carrie and Spencer show their horses, working on the farm and golf.
Per his request, he will be cremated and no memorial service.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Ransom United Methodist Church in Shelbyville, Tennessee.
