LEXINGTON, Ala. – The Lexington Lions Club Horse Show was held Saturday, June 13 at the Lexington Sports Facility. Wayne Abee of Shelbyville, Tenn., marked the cards while Sam McLaughlin of Lititz, Pa., apprenticed. Proceeds from the show went to Worthwhile Lions Club for projects throughout the year in North Alabama.
Entries may have been low, but spirits were high as everyone enjoyed the fun, laid back atmosphere. The most exciting moment of the show came when C Me Push and Charlie Green captured the title of Riders’ Cup Walking Horse Stake Champion for Sister Milligan of Panama City Beach, Fla. What made this win that much more exciting was this was the second time the handsome roan had been in the winner’s circle for the evening. Sister Milligan had taken the reins earlier in the night to make a victory pass in the Amateur Specialty class. Milligan also captured the attention of Judge Abee in the Amateur Show Pleasure Specialty class with Sabatier and once again in the Amateur Ladies Specialty class with Ms. Jose Walks.
