LEXINGTON, S.C. - The 38th annual Lexington County Horse Show was held on May 17, 2008, at the Red Bank Recreation Complex in Lexington, S.C. The Red Bank Recreation Complex was a new location for the show and everyone was pleased with it. It had camper hook-ups and spacious room around the ring. This was an all day and all breed show with the walking classes starting at 3:30 p.m. They also showcased Arabians and Quarter Horses at this show. It benefited the Lexington Rotary Club. Brandon Stout of Shelbyville, Tenn., marked the cards for the 34 classes.
Several barns won multiple blues, but Martin Training Center topped the tally with 11 wins. They also claimed the Walking Horse Championship with Pushover’s My Papa. Sam Martin showed the stallion for Jay McLaughlin of Florence, S.C., and Shelbyville, Tenn. Push Too’s Ranger and Alvin Strickland were reserve in the good class for Megan Hatfield.
