Radar’s Motown… Four-For-Four at Overton County

LIVINGSTON, Tenn. - The KY-HIO affiliated Livingston Fair Horse Show was held on Saturday night, July 25, 2009, at the Overton County Fairgrounds in Livingston, Tenn. Layne Leverette took on the duties of judging the 32 classes. Radio personality Drue Huffines announced the classes and Wayne Nabors was the organist for the evening.
Rain had pelted the Overton County area prior to the show date, causing flooding and streets being washed out. Just minutes before show time, rain and hail fell on the grounds. It soon cleared and the rain and storms held off until well after the last horse had left the ring. Thanks to the hard work of show officials and fair workers the ring was in good shape and riders only had to contend with “soupy” conditions.
Trainer Scott Beaty and Radar’s Motown brought the evening to an end when they exited the ring after the Walking Stake class. This team had enjoyed 2009 Stake class wins at Pikeville, Celina Lions Club, Jackson County and now Overton County for owners Ted and Bernice Turner.
