ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. - Held in a city full of history and beauty, the North Carolina Walking Horse Association held its spring show on Saturday, April 4, 2009, at the wonderful farm owned by CB and Linda Daughtridge. On what could not have been a better day for a horse show, the warm sunny weather brought in over 130 entries. The Shriners handled the concessions that ended up selling their legendary chicken wings. Steve Beam of Arab, Ala., called the 31-class evening

Chad Baucom and Royal Luck claimed the Walking Stake Championship for proud owner Cobin Mills. Chad Baucom Stables carried the blue ribbon tally as the team took 10 blues back to Mt. Airy, N.C.
