Ruby On Parole - Obituary
Thursday, October 24, 2013
On Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013, WC Ruby On Parole passed away unexpectedly due to colic. Foaled on October 15, 2009 to Joe and Betty Alvarez of Olympia, Wash., she was by Out On Parole and out of A Major Ruby. Not only was this mare foaled to the Alvarez’s, but she was loved, raised and owned by them and held a special place in their hearts. Betty and Joe knew this talented mare would do great things in her lifetime and that she did!
Although her show career was cut short, Ruby On Parole caught the eye and interest of many after making the flawless performance at the 2013 Spring Fun Show where Betty rode her to the Owner-Amateur Three-Year-Old Mares & Geldings championship. At that point the determined team, under the care and training of Trimble Stables, set their sights on World Championship honors at the Celebration and accomplished that goal…winning the Owner-Amateur Three-Year-Old Mares & Gelding class Section B and making the ride of a lifetime. The Alvarez’s along with the entire staff at Trimble Stables will greatly miss this talented filly.
