Tollesboro Hosts Nearly 200 Entries

TOLLESBORO, Ky. – The Tollesboro Lions Club hosted its 52nd annual walking horse show on July 17 and 18 2009. Nearly 200 horses entered the ring on Saturday night. Steve Hankins judged the 26-class event.

Mike Oney and Johnny Orlando won the Walking Stake for Linda Patton of Mt. Sterling, Ky. Sweet Revenge Stables claimed two blues for the show. Carroll Doyle Stables lead the blue ribbon tally, claiming three blues for the evening. Steve Swinford Sables captured two blues for Jess and Gladys Burton. Many others claimed blues as well.
