The Walking Horse Trainers’ Association board of directors met this morning and have made the decision to suspend next week’s National Trainers’ Show. The show was scheduled to begin Thursday, March 19th at Calsonic Arena in Shelbyville.

Due to the ongoing situation with the spread of COVID-19, the information from health officials and the decisions across the country with regards to public gatherings and sporting events, the board felt it was in the best interest of the health of the participants in the industry to suspend the show and reschedule.

The goal of the board is to have the show as soon as it is safe to do so. The board will have to weigh the availability of facilities to conduct the show and fit within the existing horse show calendar.

As more information becomes available in a very fluid situation, WHR will update the plans for the 52nd Annual National Trainers’ Show.
