Tunica Fall Classic moves to Calsonic Arena
Monday, September 14, 2020
Due to restrictions placed on the Paul Battle Jr. Arena and the resort casinos in Tunica, the Fall Classic will be held in Calsonic Arena on its’ regular dates of November 5th through 7th. After working with the arena and possible host resorts the Celebration Board has decided to take a hiatus from hosting the show in Tunica, Mississippi for this year.
“The new guidelines are understandable but unfortunately would render the show unrecognizable for our participants” said Mike Inman, CEO of the Celebration. New guidelines include such things as pre-packaged meals at the arena as opposed to the traditional catered and prepared on site dinners for the sponsorship tables along with reduced seating capacities. The resort lodging would have to be divided among three different hotels. Other changes would be the canceling of the exhibitor party, no entertainment in any resort, and traditional buffets are no longer available in any of the resorts.
“We want to keep our Fall Classic dates in place and we intend to host a first class event in these unique times. As we move forward we will announce some special things that will make this addition of the Fall Classic a special event,” added Inman.
