The Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders and Exhibitors Association reached a consensus of opinion today to retain the services of Niels Holch throughout the negotiations of the 2007 Operating Plan. Holch serves as a lobbyist in Washington and previously worked for TWHBEA, the Walking Horse Trainers Association and Walking Horse Owners Association through the structure of the National Horse Show Commission.

Despite the fact that TWHBEA has elected not to renew their contract with the NHSC, they felt it was important to maintain the continuity of leadership in Washington to negotiate a new three to five year agreement with the United States Department of Agriculture. The existing Operating Plan expires in 2006.

Holch met later in the day with the National Horse Show Commission in an effort to continue to represent them also.
