USDA Posts DQP Training Presentation for 2015

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA)-Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) recently posted and released the new training presentation for Designated Qualified Persons (DQPs). As part of the release of the information Dr. Rachel Cezar, USDA-APHIS Horse Protection Program National Policy Staff, commented, "Attached is the USDA presentation on the interpretation of the Horse Protection Act (HPA) regulations that is being utilized for the Horse Industry Organization (HIO) - Designated Qualified Persons (DQPs) Training in 2015. This presentation supersedes any training manuals or presentations from previous dates."

Dr. Cezar was previously Horse Protection Coordinator with USDA-APHIS but has now assumed the new role on the National Policy Staff. Previous reports have indicated that Dr. Jeff Baker will be assuming Dr. Cezar's role in the field.
