Veteran's Day 5K In Memory of Jim Allison

The Bedford Cancer Foundation is sponsoring a Veteran’s Day 5K Run/Walk on Saturday November 7, 2015 at the beginning of the Shelbyville Veteran’s Day Parade.  The 5K will start at 11:00AM and the entry fee is $25 and pre-registration can be completed at www.bedfordcancerfoundation.com.

This year’s 5K will be held in memory of Jim Allison, who earlier this year lost his battle with cancer.  Allison was the former CEO of Duck River Electric and also a former member of the board of directors of the Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration.

Sponsorships are available and start at $200.  Contact Bedford Cancer  Foundation at nmonajjem@live.com or 931-619-9799 or contact Virginia Stewart at stewartv26@aol.com or 931-735-6262.  In addition there will be a balloon release at the beginning of the race.  If you would like to have  a name listed in honor or memory on a balloon, the donation is $5 per balloon.  The Bedford Cancer Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to providing financial assistance to Bedford County cancer victims.
