Virginia Walking & Racking Horse Owners’ Association Held 2008 Banquet

LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Virginia Walking & Racking Horse Owners’ Association held its annual banquet Saturday, Feb. 21, 2009, to honor the 2008 show season champions.

VWRHOA President Nellie Harris welcomed everyone to the beautiful Kirkley Hotel Ballroom in Lynchburg, Va. A delicious buffet was enjoyed by everyone and lots of fellowship and fun was had at the silent auction.

The awards banquet started out with awarding Mrs. Odell Henry, 98 years old and the oldest active member of the VWRHOA. Twenty-four youth members were recognized with a trophy, as they are the future riding generation. Many more awards were presented.

The VRWHOA annual show will be held on June 20, 2009, at the New London Ruritan show grounds in Lynchburg, Va.
