Walking Horse Trainers’ Auxiliary Plans for 2020

FRANKLIN, Tenn. – A large group of the Walking Horse Trainers’ Auxiliary members met on Friday, December 13, 2019 at the Cool Springs Marriott in conjunction with the Walking Horse Trainers’ Convention.
The members discussed their plans for 2020 and how to best accomplish their goals. They felt that 2019 had been a successful year and hope to improve in all areas. Their show, the Money Tree Classic, will again be hosted during the Fourth of July weekend.
They were thrilled to be able to grant scholarships to therapeutic riding programs that include Tennessee Walking Horses. A total of $8,000 will be awarded to eight different programs, four of which the Auxiliary has been donating money to for over 20 years.
The officers were re-elected unanimously by the membership. They are: President Sarah Smith; First Vice-President Susan Coleman; Second Vice-President Jennifer Barr; Secretary Heather Beard and Treasurer Allison Becknell.
This group is always proud of be supportive of the industry, the trainers and the community and always work for the betterment and to always be improving.
