WHOA Announces May Shows And April Membership Fee Increase

The Walking Horse Owners' Association is pleased to announce the following shows. Eight WHOA early May shows in six states cover the northeastern quarter of the country. There is an exciting and challenging show for you whether you're looking for Dressage to All Day Country Pleasure. We invite you to attend a show near you in Tennessee, Kentucky, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Illinois or North Carolina.

Fifteen world grand champions were crowned Thursday night, the first of three world title nights at the 86th Annual Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration. Dan Asche of First Christian Church gave the prayer. Craig Campbell of Eagleville gave a country touch to the “Star Spangled Banner”, while Ronnie Spears and White Diamond Dollar presented the Stars and Stripes.

The temperature hovered around 100 degrees for much of the day, but a good crowd and 13 classes of horses didn’t let the heat bother them Wednesday night in “The Big Oval” at the 86th Annual Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration. It was the final night of preliminary classes before the World Grand Championship classes begin Thursday night.
